The snow and sleet and whatever else that slush is has shut the class down today! Hope to see you all next week. (And if you have a kiddo aged 2-4, we’re having ‘mama and me’ on Saturday from 9:30-10 at the library!)
See you next week!
I’m going to go ahead and call it! Stay safe and warm and enjoy the snow. See you next week. 🙂

No mama and me this morning due to weather! I’ll see you next week.
No kids class this session, but check back soon for updates on summer classes.
One of the things I love most about the logo my friend Kerri designed, is the flow and movement of it. We’ve all heard the saying, “if you don’t bend, you’ll break” and it seems like those words are so important in this day and age. Being able to anchor yourself deeply so that you can shift in the wind without losing yourself is a key to surviving amongst the human race. Many of my yoga teachers end practice with “May you flow through life with joy and ease” and in that moment, it seems attainable. Learning to change, bend, shift, grow stronger, and let go …
I’m still available for postpartum work and childbirth education classes! Thanks for all of the support from y’all!
As a proponent of choice, I find it is a good idea to check out as many possibilities as possible before deciding on any one thing. This goes for selecting a doula, too. The website DoulaMatch gives you the opportunity to check out area doulas available on your due date! You simply plug in your zip code and EDD and voila! – a whole list of women willing and able to attend your birth.
Ahhhh, the beauty of a fabulous quote! I wish I had said this, but alas, it was not me. A previous client shared these words with me recently, and I laughed out loud with glee!
“You wouldn’t hike up Everest without a Sherpa, so why go into birth without a doula?”
Ever wonder what to get that pregnant (or post partum) mama that seems to have it all? Maybe she already has an older child and just plans to use all of the gadgets and gizmos and clothes again. Or maybe she has a huge circle of family and friends who purchased everything off of her baby registry. Whatever the case – the gift of a doula always fits, is always in season, and can be split amongst as many friends as you’d like! Hiring a doula is a wonderful present for the mama, the partner, and the baby. Post partum doula care is a fabulous world of lactation guidance-sibling watching-dinner cooking-laundry doing-baby holding so she can shower and nap-gift. Contact me for rates and information regarding doula gift certificates for the mama who has everything … except a doula!
